Fun and creative thematic stories, follwed by a free fruit or veggie snack with matching art activities each day Monday - Friday.  These are simple, free activities that will engage the five senses of your child and unlock the imagination.

EXTRA SPECIAL STORY TIMES & ACTIVITIES THIS SEASON:

Monday-Friday, October 3-7 - Celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with us! Let’s learn about forgiveness through the eyes of a child by engaging in a craft about love and the use of color. 1-3pm.

Monday, October 10 - Columbus Day! Let's Read about Columbus and then make an edible boat in the bakery afterwards.  All Day make self serve Columbus' ship in the art room with your hand print!

Monday-Friday, October 24-28, Celebrate the NATIONS with us! Bring in a color copy of the flag where you or your parents are from and receive 1 Playseum dollar to spend how you like. Story time all week will be focusing on countries from around the world, their foods, their languages and what unites us.

Monday, October 31, Come dressed up in your favorite costume! Decorate a cookie like a pumpkin for 1 Playseum dollar. Read the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown with Ms. Gina.  Self serve Fall crafts in the art room.

Tuesday & Wednesday November 1-2, Both story times Let's talk about apples, Peel apples, taste apples and make are own mini apple turnover bites for free after the story time.

Tuesday, November 7-8, Vote for your favorite animal in the Playseum Pet Shop!  Let's read, Grace for President, by Kelly Dipuchio for story time and imagine what it would be liek if we became President. Learn how to vote for something in the Bakery afterward as we nibble on fruits or veggies.  Self Serve American Flag activity in art shop all day.

Friday, November 11, Jenne Johns, author of Once Upon a Preemie will be coming for a book signing and special story time.

Monday -Wednesday, November 14-23, Each day we will focus on different aspects of Thanksgiving and how to teach little ones to be thankful through crafts, yummy old fashioned snacks like grinding corn or crushing spices. Self Serve Thanksgiving craft projects each day in the art shop.

Monday & Tuesday, December 12 & 13, Celebrate Mexico's holiday of the Virgin Guadalupe with special story time, Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto and learn some new Spanish words with Ms. Gina. Self serve tissue paper flower making in art shop and make Mexican hot chocolate with Ms. Gina in the Bakery as a free treat after both story times.

December 14 - 23, Come in for Winter fun stories like; Frosty the snowman, Queen Elsa & Anna & Olaf. Story times will be simple but full of things for everyone; with the Christmas story and the Hanukkah tradition.  For the rest of the month kids can come to the Bakery and make their own sugar cookie designed to their liking.  We have all the cookie cutters and the toppings.  Make 3 cookies and decorate them too for 6 Playseum dollars. Free selfserve holiday & snow related projects in the art shop!
